I was thinking, with Social Networking sites becoming more and more popular, how about adding some applications on Facebook and Bebo and other similar sites.
These could use the same Web API, and update say once a day or whatever, and just show general stats, KeyStrokes, MouseClicks and Mouse Distance.
People could then choose to display these on their profile. A link can be placed at the bottom of the stats, saying “Track your own stats” or whatever, and have it either link to the application page or WhatPulse itself.
Im sure this could be done without toooooo much effort, and should be pretty beneficial to WhatPulse.
I wouldn’t mind having a banner like yours displayed on my Geeks.Pirillo page, geeks social networking. anyway… Something that is like Whatpulse official and thats updates, like Xfire, has seen people with that in there banner before.
With the web API (or whatever it’s called, I’ve never really done anything with it), I think it should be pretty easy for a motivated whatpulse user to make one of these, and we’d all be happy to contribute feedback on the forums.
Given that I have almost zero coding experience myself, I have to bow out for this one. (That, and I don’t have time to do it, anyways)
Might give that a go once i’ve done my computing coursework (have two weeks off in a few days anyway :D). Not brilliant at programming but always looking for a challenge lol
Yeah looks pretty usefull thanks, i’ll have a better look on Friday night once my Coursework has been handed in
*Been up till 3 every night this week trying to finish it in time :s *
Right since my coursework was handed in last friday i’ll start having a look at this I’ll try to keep you posted on how it goes
