XChat causes Whatpulse crash.

After updating to the new Whatpulse in all its spiffiness, I can no longer use XChat IRC client alongside Whatpulse, else I get crashes on it. So far, no other problem is causing this. Using Windows 7 x64. Additionally, if I am to understand what’s going on in the Geek Window, it causes a loss of some of the keys/clicks prior to said crash. (Yes, this is the same client crash as http://whatpulse.org/forums/showthread.php?tid=2016 I just happened to have narrowed it down for me personally.)

Please update to the latest client, you still have 2.0.0.0, it should be 2.0.1.0.

Random guess; you had WhatPulse installed while you were not explicit admin on the machine.

Not sure how I would manage that, but, no, not the cause. As of now, XChat is the only program I use that causes interference with WhatPulse.

I have this exact problem. WhatPulse crashes just as soon as I fire up xchat. No other program causes a crash. Both my laptop and my desktop (running Win 7 Ult x64) do the same thing. Seeing as I use xchat constantly, I get very little keys/clicks captured by whatpulse because it crashes. I’ll keep an eye on this thread… Thanks for posting.
