WhatPulse does not work on Windows Embedded 2009 (POSReady)

Hello,

First I want to say that I love WhatPulse and only have problems on Windows Embedded 2009 (POSReady)…

I am using Embedded, because Windows XP is not supported anymore but this old computer is to slow to run Windows 7 on it (so this is not a solution).

The installation was no problem, but when WhatPulse starts, the CPU goes to 100% and WhatPulse freezes until I kill it with the task manager…

Thank you for your help

P.S.: I am sorry for my bad english - english is not my native language.

It looks like Qt does not support Windows Embedded 2009, so WhatPulse cannot as well. The first supported embedded is WE 7, and I’m guessing that was released after 2009…so I don’t think you can do anything to make it work…

What do you use this computer for?

From the sounds of things trying a Linux distribution would be a much better option than an obscure version of Windows.

Check out lubuntu - it’s designed to be a modern OS with very low hardware requirements. And it runs Whatpulse just fine!

Just because xp isn’t supported doesn’t mean you couldn’t keep using it though…

But yeah, lubuntu is definitely a great alternative for older computers.

The CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo 2x2GHz) would be fast enough to run Win 7, but the pc has only 1GB of memory…
