Whatpulse client backup: Access is denied.

My client corrupted itself. I’ve been backing it up every single week for a long time now. When I went to apply the backup, I am prompted with the message: “Could not open C:/Program Files (x86)/WhatPulse2/whatpulse-restore.db.zip for writing. Access is denied.”

I’ve tried giving myself full permission of the C: drive and that didn’t seem to work. I couldn’t find anything else online to help me with this situation. is anyone here able to assist?

Thanks for reporting…It seems like I missed handling permissions on some Windows versions. I’ll fix this in 3.7, but in the mean time: you should be able to get this to work by copying the C:/Program Files (x86)/WhatPulse2 directory (while the client is shut down) to another directory, like your desktop or D:/WhatPulse2, and trying again.
