what is the "unknown key" in "key frequency"

Hi, wp is really a great tool to keep record.

In “key frequency” window, there are some keys called “unknown key”.

How can i know their name?

is it possible for me to type every key of my keyboard in this window and help whatPulse to know the name of them?

or is it possible to find them and rename back to meaningful word?

Thanks!

Best way to find out what that unknown key is to test it. Unfortunately, we only recognize the typical computer keyboard layouts.

Hi Century0,
i have the same problem and have checked which keys detected as “unknown key” …

on my pc and my laptop is “shift” (right & left), “ctrl” (right & left) and “alt” detected as “unknown key”
i think “shift”, “ctrl” and “alt” are keys from a typical keyboard layout

ps: i use the windows client version 1.7 on both pc

bobL/wasted should comment on here in a day or two with a reason why because I’m not quite sure why it would do that.

Hi,
thanks for reply … but now, more than two weeks ago and there is still no response from bobL or wasted.

can i still expect a response?

Sorry for the delay. This issue should be resolved with the next release. I don’t know exactly when it will be released, so please stay tuned.

no problem, thanks for the answer
