Unencrypted network connections

Today I recognized that WP (2.7) opens a lot of unencrypted (http) to different hosts:

153.121.72.211 (sakura.ne.jp)
153.121.72.212
162.159.251.116 (wp - CloudFlare)
176.31.164.115 (cdnify.net)

and more…

Expected behavior?

Hi,

Yep, expected behaviour. The top ones are ifconfig.me, which the client uses as a backup to get an external IP (http://ifconfig.me/ip). Cloudflare/CDNify are updates check and GeoIP database updates.
