No Network Interfaces List on Client 2.0.1 Ubuntu 12.10 AMD64

upgraded to 2.0.1, still don’t see any network interfaces listed.

sudo getcap ./whatpulse
./whatpulse = cap_net_admin,cap_net_raw+eip

everything else seems to work.

yes i have libpcap and pcaputils

anyone got any ideas?

Works here flawlessly…

Sure you gotten all the rest of packages installed needed according to the KB?

  • libQtCore - yes
  • libQtWebKit - yes
  • libqt4-sql - yes
  • libqt4-sql-sqlite - yes
  • openssl-devel - DNE, i have libssl-dev installed i believe this is the deb equivalent

am i missing anything?
are you running amd64 ubuntu 12.10?

sudo apt-get install libqt4-sql libqt4-sql-sqlite libqt4-core libqtwebkit4 libssl-dev libpcap0.8 libpcap0.8-dev libglib2.0

sudo setcap cap_net_raw,cap_net_admin=eip ./whatpulse
./whatpulse

This works on 12.04LTS x64 as well as 12.10 x64

those last two aren’t listed in the KB article. I already had them installed, though. def not working on my 12.10 AMD64. the dialog lists no interfaces.

FYI wireshark works no problem, lists the same interfaces from ifconfig

You guys keep making a new topic (and no moderating going on :)); Topic @
