Geek Window off in user rank

When reporting %Ranks%, I have noticed that the Geek Window is not doing so in real time at the time of any pulse. In fact, the observation seems to indicate that there is a 24-hour delay in reporting ranks. Is this intended behavior or no?

My Window shows a Key Rank of 2843rd. When I check real time on the boards here, the boards show a Key Rank of 2826th. ???

Ranks inside the client update when you pulse, the client tries to keep the online activity to a minimum so it’s not checking every x minutes/hours, only when you pulse.
