Mouse Mileage Discrepancies

Hello,

I was checking out my stats, and I've noticed that my mouse mileage is consistently higher when I'm on an iMac compared to Windows laptop. I use the mouse about the same amount, but I seem to get double mileage on the Mac.

Any ideas on why this is?

Hi,at weekend and yesteday about midnight was your web completly shutdown,i get so many error messagess from whatpulse and i lost about 20000kc and 5000mc. im really pissed off right now,whats wrong with your servers???

Pulse Problem - Unknown Server Message, Timed out.

Hope you'll forgive my "fix"

I have tried pulsing after turning of both the firewall and the anti-virus.

WP version: 1.7.1
Username: ymabob - id: 320056
OS: Windows 7 x64
admin account: yes
Errors: See picture

I was probably running the usual uTorrent, Steam, Avast antivirus, web browser, skype etc.

I have not tried reinstalling yet, as I would like not to loose the about 200k keys and 50k mouseclicks stored up because I figured it would be a temporary error, it has now been 5-6 days.

Might it have something to do with the fact that me and my roommate both use WhatPulse? We have the same IP out to the net. We are using different computers, and different accounts however. He is able to connect and pulse fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Linux created profile, wrong OS listed

Hey,

I was just going to test out WhatPulse on Linux, works great.
Though, while I was browsing my profile, I see that the Profile I created isn't listed as linux, but windows. The profile is named "BaxxLapLinux" (Kind of obvious, but just to avoid any confusions :P)

And I can't find anywhere to change this myself. Anything you can do to change this little visual error? =D

I'm Acceptance, a new member at this forum.

I stumbled upon the WP site back in 2005 or so. It intrigues me how much i typed over the years. Generally, when i have time to kill its on WoW and that's where i get my keystrokes.

If i remember correctly, years ago, after registering for WP, you also can use that same account for the forums too. But I am assuming its not the case anymore.

P.S. Today i took my time out and log onto WP and found that there was a message that was sent to me 20 months ago from someone called sellyme.

Here is how it goes:

So, I have had writer's block for the last several months and have not been able to write anything worth anything.

Last night I get a sudden surge of idea and I sit down and start clacking away at my keyboard relentlessly.

When I finally finish, hours later it occurs to me to see how many keys I have types.

Oh wait, whatpulse isn't open. >.<

I typed 44,712 characters, so I'd imagine maybe 5-10% more keystrokes for typos and general on-the-spot corrections. Considering I only average about 10k keystrokes per day, that would have been a pretty good amount for me.

Silly Tozzi, silly Tozzi.

How often do the rest of you do things like this?

Hello everyone. I guess I'll start out with letting you know where I'm from and where I'm at. I grew up in Ohio but am currently teaching in China! I stumbled upon the whatpulse site back in 2005 or so when I was in high school. I think it's really cool and can help put into perspective how much I type! Back when I played WoW (rogue) I think I pressed my 3 key the most and it could probably account for at least hundreds of thousands of strokes. But now I don't play that game, instead I play some SCII casually and am waiting patiently for Diablo 3 to come out!

Edit: I found my old username after about an hour of searching.

I do have a question comment: Sometimes, because I live in China, I use a VPN to access certain sites. Will this in some way flag me as a cheater? Because so far it wont even allow me to go to any pages on whatpulse.org It gives me this error: "whatpulse.org [ERROR]: Session IP Security failed. Logged attempt from ."

Looking for old username

Greetings fellow pulsers,

I have a unique situation here. I registered at whatpulse.org back in 2005 or 2006 probably and pulsed my brains out for a few years. The computer I pulsed on slowly became obsolete and I got a mac, which at the time didn't have whatpulse support, either that or I was just too lazy to install it.

Anyway, long story short I completely forget what I made my username (7 years ago!), I am in china, my computer is back in the US in my parents basement disassembled and in a closet. If I could turn it on surely it would just tell me what my username is, but alas I cannot. And there's no way I'm going to make my parents assemble and log on my computer...way too much hassle.

What I'm wondering is this: Is there a way to browse the users by the date they joined and by country? If I could do that I think I could browse and find my username in a decent amount of time while only hassling myself. Is there a way to do that?
